Marvin Bressler received his B.Ch.E. from City College of the City University of New York in 1957; his M.Ch.E. from New York University in 1962 and his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in 1968. Mr. Bressler was admitted to the N.Y. State Bar in 1969 and is registered to practice in U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Mr. Bressler was a Chemical Engineer for W.R. Grace and Co. from 1957-1958; a Chemical Engineer for Sonitone Corp. from 1959-1960; a Design Engineer for Douglas Aircraft Co. from 1962-1964; and an Analytical Engineer for Grumman Aircraft Co. from 1964-1968. Before joining SSMP, Mr. Bressler was also a Patent Attorney for Exxon Corp. from 1968-1970; Allied Chemical Corp. from 1970-1971; and Celanese Corp. from1971-1981.

Mr. Bressler offers experience in the preparation and prosecution of chemical patent applications including catalysts, polymers, adhesives and organic compounds. He is also a member of NYIPLA and the ABA.

RICHARD J. DANYKO Richard J. Danyko

Richard Danyko received his B.E., Chemical Engineering from Manhattan College in 1984 and his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law in 1988. He was admitted to the N.Y. State Bar in 1988; U.S. District Court, Southern and Eastern Districts of N.Y., and is registered to practice before U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Mr. Danyko offers extensive experience in client counseling including clearance opinions and intellectual property audits.

Mr. Danyko's expertise extends to all areas related to U.S. and foreign patent practice, including infringement and validity opinions, patent prosecution, litigation, interferences, and opposition practice in the European Patent Office. Mr. Danyko's technical expertise includes polymer, organic, inorganic chemistry and medical devices.

Dennis J. Duncan Dennis J. Duncan

Dennis J. Duncan received a B.S. Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology from the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), and his J.D. from Seton Hall Law in 2000. Mr. Duncan has completed the course work for an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from NJIT, which is expected to be awarded in February 2008. While at the NJIT, Mr. Duncan focused on telecommunications and digital signal and image processing.

Mr. Duncan is admitted to the New Jersey State Bar and the Bar of the District of Columbia; U.S. District Court of New Jersey, Eastern and Southern District Courts of New York and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals; Mr. Duncan is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Mr. Duncan is a member of AIPLA, the intellectual property sections of the New Jersey Bar Association, and the American Bar Association (ABA), and is a member of IEEE.

From 2001 to 2002, Mr. Duncan served as a law clerk in the New Jersey Superior Court. Upon completing his tenure as a law clerk, he entered private practice at local New Jersey firms focusing on litigation matters requiring regular appearances in the Federal and State courts. Such practice included handling all aspects of discovery, appearing on behalf of litigants in several bench trials, proof hearings and numerous mediations in the Federal courts. In addition, Mr. Duncan represented a large number of litigants in a Federal district court action against a large satellite TV provider, under the Digital Copyright Millennium Act.

Prior to joining Scully, Scott, Murphy, & Presser P.C., Mr. Duncan was employed by a small patent prosecution firm in New Jersey handling matters in the electrical engineering arts with particular emphasis on optical and wireless networks; passive optical networks, semiconductor devices, broadband wireless networks, digital rights management, sensor networks, and MPEG-4 technologies. Mr. Duncan's current IP practice is directed to the preparation and prosecution of patent applications relating to the electrical arts in such diverse areas as PIR/microwave security alarm system, microprocessors/microcontrollers systems and digital signal and image processing.

Theodore Gottlieb, Ph.D. Theodore Gottlieb, Ph.D.

Dr. Gottlieb earned his doctorate in biomedical sciences from the University of Tennessee - Oak Ridge Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. He obtained his Juris Doctor degree from Fordham University School of Law in New York City. Prior to becoming an attorney, Dr. Gottlieb had been an assistant professor in the Department of Cell Biology and Anatomy at New York University School of Medicine. His work has been published in the Journal Cell Biology, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, and Journal of Biological Chemistry. During this time he also taught human histology and gross anatomy to medical students. Dr. Gottlieb is admitted to practice in New York and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Dr. Gottlieb's technical expertise includes transferring cloned genes into tissue culture cells, e.g., differentiated epithelial cells; mammalian and microbiological cell culture; preparing and screening cDNA libraries, site-specific mutagenesis of viral envelope glycoproteins, yeast two-hybrid system, cellular mechanisms of viral infection, prepared and purified enveloped virus, Southern, Northern and Western blotting, immunofluorescence and confocal scanning microscopy, electron microscopy; and purification of polyclonal and monoclonal antibodies. Dr. Gottlieb has experience in drafting patent applications and opinion letters, as well as domestic, foreign and international prosecution of patent applications and counseling in the fields of pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, organic chemistry, cosmetic and dermatologic compositions, personal care compositions and medical devices.

Harry Hild Harry Hild

Harry Hild received his B.S. in Materials Science with a Concentration in Ceramics from the N.S. College of Ceramics at Alfred University in 1998. He received his J.D. and Masters in Intellectual Property from Franklin Pierce Law Center in 2002. He was admitted to the N.Y. State Bar in 2003 and the Pennsylvania State Bar in 2005. Mr. Hild is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Harry Hild's practice includes patent application drafting and prosecution in a wide variety of arts, including inorganic chemistry, semi-conducting devices, metallurgy, ceramics, glass, and coatings, as well as mechanical and electro-mechanical arts; intellectual property portfolio planning and management; clearance, patentability, and infringement opinion rendering; and preparing intellectual property agreements, such as patent licensing, joint and research development agreements, and confidentiality agreements. Mr. Hild is also experienced in the management of foreign patent practice and management of European patent oppositions.

Prior to joining Scully, Scott, Murphy and Presser, Mr. Hild managed all aspects of the intellectual property portfolio of the automotive divisions of one of the world's largest aluminum companies.

Sachin Kandhari Sachin Kandhari

Sachin Kandhari received his B.S. in Physics from the University of Virginia (UVA) in 2002, and his J.D. from the George Mason University School of Law in 2007. Between 2002 and 2004, Mr. Kandhari was a research assistant at the Physics Department at UVA. Prior to joining Scully, Scott, Murphy & Presser, Mr. Kandhari was employed at Moazzam & Associates L.L.C. in Arlington, Virginia, where he prepared and prosecuted patent applications. Mr. Kandhari is experienced in various aspects of patent procurement, specializing in the areas of telecommunication networks, semiconductors, electronic devices, mechanical devices, medical devices, computers, and business methods.

Mr. Kandhari is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Intellectual Property Law Association, and the South Asian Bar Association.

Eunhee Park Eunhee Park

Eunhee Park received her B.A. in Computer Science from Barnard College, Columbia University in 1984 and her J.D. in 1997 from Brooklyn Law School where she was on the editorial staff of Brooklyn Journal of International Law. She was admitted to the N.Y. State Bar in 1998 and is registered to practice before U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Ms. Park previously worked in the computer industry as a software engineer and was an associate attorney in an Intellectual Property Group of a general practice law firm in New York City. Ms. Park is a member of ABA and AIPLA.

Ms. Park is experienced in various aspects of patent procurement, both domestic and foreign, specializing in the areas of computers, software, and business methods. She has regularly counseled clients in intellectual property matters with focus on patents and is also experienced in providing opinions relating to freedom to operate, patent infringement, validity, and patentability. Ms. Park is a co-author of "Recent Cases Clarify Law on Transfer of Patent Rights," New York Law Journal, January 22, 2002.

Michael A. Petrocelli received his B.S., Mechanical Engineering degree from New York Institute of Technology in 1985 and his J.D. from New York Law School in 1990. He is admitted to the Connecticut State Bar; U.S. District Court, Connecticut, and Eastern District of N.Y.; and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Mr. Petrocelli is currently enrolled in the Computer Science Master's program at Polytechnic University, Melville, N.Y.

Mr. Petrocelli was a Systems and Test Engineer at Grumman Aircraft Systems from 1982-1986. Katherine Vieyra received her B.A. in Mathematical Sciences from Rice University, M.CIS from Cleveland State University in 1992, and J.D. from Case Western Reserve University in 1995. Ms. Vieyra is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. She was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1995. Prior to joining Scully, Scott, Murphy & Presser, Ms. Vieyra was an associate at D. Peter Hochberg LPA where she prepared and prosecuted patents, trademarks and copyrights. Ms. Vieyra has worked as a software engineer for a diverse variety of corporations including Merrill Lynch, Alltel and the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, and was an adjunct professor of Computer Science at Cleveland State University and Wayne College, University of Akron. Ms. Vieyra is chair of the Copyright committee of the Cleveland Intellectual Property Law Association and a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association.

Ms. Vieyra is experienced in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications in the areas of electrical engineering, computer science and diverse mechanical technologies.

Seth Weinfeld received his B.S., Electrical and Computer Engineering with a Concentration in Applied Physics and Data Storage Systems from Carnegie Mellon University in 1999. He received his J.D. from American University, Washington College of Law in 2002. He was admitted to the N.Y. State Bar in 2003. Mr. Weinfeld is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

KEITH A. WELTSCH Keith A. Weltsch

Keith Weltsch received his B.A. in History from Pennsylvania State University in 1995 and graduated with honors and with distinction, Phi Beta Kappa. He later received his J.D. from George Washington University in 1998 and was admitted to the Maryland State Bar; He was a Trademark Examining Attorney at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office from 1999-2002, including a special work detail at the Office of Legislative and International Affairs.

Mr. Weltsch specializes in U.S. and foreign trademark prosecution and clearance; experienced in oppositions and cancellations before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, conducting settlement negotiations and preparing consent and coexistence agreements relating to trademark litigation. He is also knowledgeable in copyright and domain name dispute laws and litigation.

Zhuang Yuan Zhuang Yuan, M.S.

Zhuang Yuan received his B.S., Physiology and Biophysics from Peking University, China in 1987. He completed Master of Medicine course work from Peking Union Medical College, China in 1987-1988 and attended a Ph.D. program in Cell and Molecular Biology at City University of New York from 1990-1992. Mr. Yuan received his Masters in Biological Sciences, from City College of New York in 1993 and his J.D. from St. John's University School of Law in 2006. Mr. Yuan was admitted to the Connecticut State Bar in 2006 and has passed the July 2006 New York State bar examination. Mr. Yuan is a patent attorney registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Mr. Yuan was a Graduate Research Assistant for the China-Japan Friendship Institute of Clinical Medical Sciences from 1987-1988; Graduate Research Assistant for Research Foundation of City University of New York from 1990-1992; Graduate Lecturer at City College of New York from 1990-1992; Research Assistant at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory from 1992-2002. Mr. Yuan is a co-inventor of a U.S. patent application and offered technical contribution to an issued U.S. patent.

Mr. Yuan offers technical expertise in the areas of molecular biology, microbiology, biochemistry, immunology, cell biology and microscopy, genetics and developmental biology, plant biology, physiology and neuroscience. His experience also includes patent prosecution and infringement, validity and patentability opinions. Mr. Yuan also involved in licensing agreements and litigation.
