After receiving his J. D. from Widener School of Law in 1996, Mr. DeFino was admitted to the Pennsylvania State Bar and practiced for several years as an attorney. He then returned to school and received his BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2006 from Temple University and was registered to practice before U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in 2008.
Mr. DeFino works with large and small clients to develop and protect their innovations. He focuses his practice on utility and design patent preparation and prosecution (domestic and foreign), opinions and due diligence, counseling and portfolio management, and leveraging of patent assets. He concentrates his practice in the areas of electrical, electromechanical, mechanical and computer systems, specializing in semiconductors, computer processor development, audio video technology, bio-medical devices and systems and related technologies.
