Brian Rothery received his B.S., Mechanical Engineering degree from the State University of New York, University at Buffalo in 1987 (where he serves on the MAE Dean Advisory Board), and his J.D., cum laude, from Pace University School of Law in 1990. He is admitted to the N.Y. State Bar, U.S. Southern and Eastern U.S. Districts of N.Y., the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the U.S. Supreme Court, and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Mr. Rothery is an experienced, pragmatic technology attorney who provides strategic representation to both plaintiffs and defendants in technology disputes, including patent, trade secret, trademark, and copyrights. He has served as trial counsel before federal trial and appellate courts throughout the United States. In addition to his trial practice, Mr. Rothery also provides comprehensive counseling on technology issues surrounding and involving technology licensing product development and supply agreements, Merger & Acquisition due diligence, product Freedom-to-Operate (FTO) and clearance, and IP portfolio development.
