Dr. Riddhi Bhattacharyya is a patent agent of the life science group at Scully Scott Murphy & Presser P.C. Dr. Bhattacharyya received her Bachelor’s degree (1st Class, major in Chemistry) and Master’s degree (1st Class, major in Molecular Biology) from the University of Calcutta and received her Ph.D. in Molecular Biology/Biochemistry from Indian Institute of Chemical Biology, CSIR, Calcutta, India. Dr. Bhattacharyya is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office.
Dr. Bhattacharyya’s technical expertise is in the areas of molecular biology, cell biology, cell-based assays, biotechnology, biochemistry, chemistry, and pharmaceuticals. Prior to joining Scully Scott Murphy & Presser P.C., Dr. Bhattacharyya worked as a patent agent at Sorell, Lenna & Schmidt LLP, in Hauppauge, NY. Dr. Bhattacharyya has experience in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications, opinion works, and patent searching. Before joining Sorell, Lenna & Schmidt LLP, Dr. Bhattacharyya worked as a R&D scientist at Enzo Biochem Inc., in Farmingdale, NY, and as a research associate at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, in the Bronx, NY respectively. Dr. Bhattacharyya has authored and co-authored several scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals and has several patents.
